desember, christmas times and beach(es)

Better than last time... at least not a whole month!

Since last we have had two EF guests. Thomas from wanaka, and Annika from Auckland.
Had some good fun when Thomas was here, and we took him and max to the beaxh in Ohope. Nice beach, with really good waves!! Good evenings with fun boardgames :P We also went to carols brothers beach house in waihi. Really nice beach, not to good waves though... have been there two more times since last time.
The way to Ohope, I was driving... yeah! haha...

We also went rafting in the hamurana springs, although there wasnt much of a current.. good and cold fun!! We did some quadbiking, shooting... went hunting at the neighbours! hahah got two rabbits the first time, and another one a couple days later :P We also went to the luge again.

then it was time for christmas. Earlier in the month Phil, Max and I put up the christmas decorations :P ahahh... heaps of crap in the roof, lights everywhere... NICE! :D

Chrristmas feeling was rather absent, but came a bit when the calendars came from home, and a bottle of Toomte gloogg brygg :P It is so different to celebrate christmas when you wear shorts and t-shirts ! christmas day, as I see it... 24... we visited the neighbours, played some tennis, couple of beers... good fun! then christmas day as they see it here...25.. presents were opened in the morning, some family over by lunchtime, and meal with ham and pork in the evening!

First and probably last time I will go to subway the 24 :P was nice, but dont think it will happen back home :D

Last days have been relaxing in the new pool alan bought, going to town now and then and basically just living a kiwis life :D

plans ahead:
In a couple of hours phil and I are leaving with max and his hostfamily to raglang, apperantly NZ most famous surfing beach, and we will stay there for three days. In January we have plans for reggea muffin, another beachhouse with splashplanet, a water park :D and some other stuff I cant remember on the top of my head!

Thanks for all christmas gifts!!!!!!!

Cya soon Jeroen!

More than a month since last time, yeah... time flies!!!

Guy Fawkes was about the first event since last time. We made our own fireworks!! yeah! and the coolest we made was sparklerbombs!! Basically just take a bunch of 25-50 coloured sparklers and roll them in aluminiums foil. Then tape, tape and heaps of tape!! ducktape is the king ofcourse!! have one sparkler sticking out in front, but make sure it's far enough in the bomb to ignite the rest... and dont tape to hard around the fuse, but make sure it's airtight!!
Guy fawkes was all good!! huge bonfire, eksplosions and beer :D

after that some more days of school. Exams -.- I did english, maths, physics and history... probably failed them all this time. Funny thing about the history exam was that our teacher paid phil and me 10 bucks each for sitting there the whole time... which we spent on burgerking :D
Exams her are slightly different.. in each subject you get a booklet for each "chapter" through the year, and usually around 4 or 5. Then you can pass each one individually. 4 possible grades, and one that is not attempted, which means it will not count at all. Exams last for 3 hours, but you can leave after the first 45 minutes.

The two-three weeks before and during exams is study leave, so you dont have to go to school at all. Which means I had almost a month holliday before the actuall holliday! During this time Phil and I made a volleyball court in the paddock, and we bought a cheap inflateball pool to have next to it! :P Had a couple of days with heaps of volleyball before Phil and I went to Whangamata.

Whangamata is a village, surfing village/town, 2 hours north from Rotorua. Dad drove us up, accompanied by mom. Once there we met up with 4 outher EF students. we stayed at the bach of Nicos hostparents. Before we went there EF were pretty unfair and claimed we werent allowed to go, since nobody was allowed to travell in november and exam periode. But we would only be gone one day of november, had done all our exams before and heaps of stuff... so eventually we were able to talk us into going after all!!!

First day we did some body boarding... basically just catching the wave when you have a tiny board to lie on... Next day we had surfing lessons, and I actually got up on the board severall times!!! impressed by myself!! The beach was really nice, and the third day we went to a place an hours drive away. First Cathedral cove (will uploade pics on facebook soon) then to hot water beach. Hot water beach was mean cool! because of thermal activity just under the sand, you digg your own pool on the beach with hot water!! last two days we just chilled out on the beach!

Back home we found out that our watermelon plants have grown well! Capsicum is kinda green, but not growing... tomatoes are growing, pea's are growing, strawberries are all good, the garlic we planted just before we left has sky rocketed and passionfruit is going good. In addition I have learned that the family has Grape plants, advocado, cherry, lemon trees and feijoa. Last thing is a fruit unique to NZ!!

And I dont know if I mentioned it last time, but I finally shot a rabbit!!! required two shots... first one made the rabbit run down the hill, so the second had to be a standin shot, but I got it!! once I had taken the rabbit up I saw that the first shot had gone through the ear!! kinda cool :P

My computer is dead :( or... not the computer, but the charger... So no photos will be uploaded till after christmas, since I will give it a try to find a new charger then!!!
Christmas presents for family back home are posted!!! had a hard time finding it all, but think it's gonna be all good!

Half lazy days ahead... Thomas, dutch guy, living on the south Island is coming to stay with us from the 10th till 19th of december. and we are going to a beach house somewhere else with him and Max. And then a summery christmas. Can't promise anything... but a christmas photo wearing borat thongs and santa hat on the beach is under consideration... depends a bit on how crowded the beach is... :P

Christmas decorations are up in the house!! lights and (glitter) everywhere...christmas tree is the smaellest I ever had, and the fakest.. but it's cool as!! full of lights!!

Thats about it for now... hope I dont forgot anything... probably did..:P

cya all in 6-7 months!!

more frequently... yeah... not gonna happen ey?

two weeks since last time... since then i have been up to heaps.

short pidgeon report: finally dead... dog got it ... eventually! for everyones but Haleys great amusement! :)

an inside joke her is that the family now has 2,5 students, since max spends so much time her :P hahah...social guy:P and we have bought watermelon seeds, which we planted today... so in 14-16 weeks we are gonna have some huuuuge melons... hopefully :P
Last to weekends we have spent some time doing firewood. chainsaw, quadbike and beer! yeah! maybe not always in that order... heheh..

last weekend was busy... first firewood on saturday, on sunday some geysir thingy then agrodome with a sheepshow... about all kinds of sheep... then agroventres with a swing, bungy etc... into town to buy some food, and a big bag of lollies (=)) <--- bracket smiley, then to the luge, and finally a couple of hours in the hot pools! :P

Something that has been going on lately... Phil is on a mission to make me fit... which basically means exercise everyday... and my new pushup record is 25 proper ones in a row... hahah... but considered it was like 14 before I came her it's all good!! :P

week or so ago us boys were forced to do the pink walk... supporting breastcancer... so I got dressed up in pink.. and was able to cover my face ! (score) and was unrecognizable.. :P :D

Schoool is going good... subjects are going better...maths is easy as! but mum or dad... possible to get hold of a year 2 physics and chem. book? would help me out heaps!!!

Driving is going all good, though I like cruising on the quad better :D

this is all just like a little update, so in a huge mess... but hopefully you will understand :D

Upcoming is Guy fawkes!!! FIREWORKS!!! and I have bought some fireworks... some... hehehe
we have a huge bonfire, and are determined on beating the neighbours!!! will update sometime after guy fawkes :p

also in 3 weeks time it surfcamp in whangamataha something ...:S with EF mates for 5 days. And yeah! in two weeks... summer hollidays!!!! YEAH!!

far to many summerr holliday plans, so we'll see what goes through!! :P

that's it for now... feel free to ask if it is tooo confusing...

and yeah! dad! birthday gift is posted!!

onsdag 14. oktober 2009

I'll try to update more frequently... otherwise it's bloody much to write... and boring for u guys to read :P

soo!

After the south Island we had a german student living with us for 4 days. he's our neighbours student (poor guy), and since she was gone he stayed her. his name is Max btw... so we spent some time showing him a bit around... luge and stuff :P

The other neighbours have this annoying pidgeon... its always outside our door ... constantly... so lately we have been chasing it around :D great fun when we trapped it in the garage, shooting it with foam darts... AWSOME!! soo we thought we scared it of.. guess what... we didn't.. less than 30 min later it was outside the same door again...
and again and agian... stupid animal...

We recently also went to the Hamurana springs, with the clearest water I have EVER seen! next day we returned with our swim suits... There is this whole all the way in the end, where the water comes out of the ground, and people (stupid asians) throw coins in. so we decided to try and dive for them. 2 factors prevented us from getting more than 2.5 dollars and a bunch of asian coins... one: frezzing water... like seriously freezing! and 2: all the water comes out of the ground.. so it kinda pushes you up, and prevents you from getting deeper than 1 meter...
good fun though!

and monday we spent on a beach in Tauranga... just as cold water... but the waves made it funny enough to stay in for almost 20 min :P since only Phil and I out of the 5 of us dared going in, we decided to go to the hot pools as well :P

Today, Thursday, I had a day of school since the buckleys took all of us to a funeral. It was Alans aunty tha had died recently, and I have to say that the maori funerals are cooler than the one's I'm used to!! First we had to be accepted into this house, then speeches and stuff (hard to stay awake!) before a church seremony (simmilar to back home) then a 20 min drive to the cementry with the rest of the church stuff... back to the first house were we have to be accepted on again. some more speeches, and a huuuge feed! Alan explained how they had this feed from back in the days so visitors woud get impressed and spread the word about them... I am now!

Last little funny part about Max.. the family he lives with, my IEC, is really strict! so he got heaps of frightening stories from everyone... about her driving and stuff... since her driving is really bad!! so first day after school for him. He get's picked up, and... she crashes the car!!!!! poor Ma barely could hold his laugh in since we had warned him... haha

take care back home!!!

south island trip

More than a month since last time... srry bout that guys...

anyway! since last time I have had some exams in school. I passed 2 out of 4 in my english, which is fairly decent hench that heaps of kiwis failed them all! Passed the same in maths... and that's about it of exams for me :P

Made some kiwi friends over here... which keeps me busy in school when I can't be bothered paying attention... mum and dad : (does not happen often though)

About two weeks ago there was the south Island tour! I flew out from Rotorua airport, one stop in Wellington and then down to Christchurch. Down there we met heaps of other students, some already familiar, some not. Phil already knew most of them from culture camp, but I didn't.

So the first day was in Christchurch and we went to our accommodation. got our rooms and I got awere of the fact that one guy had particullary smely shoes... like pure disgusting acctually... This smell followed me throughout the trip, and therefore I felt it was mention worthy. later on we had some free time in town, and we went to MacDonalds, and Starbucks :D had a little look around as well.

Next day was up early and crammed in the coach. We had a fairly long drive to dunedin, but once there we stayed at a pretty fancy place. On the way we visited a chocolate factory... but Phil, Phil2, a guy called Nico and I decided we had already seen it... and went to a mall and bought some toy swords... they were a platic pipe, covered by some foam thingy... and in belief of action without to much pain we were wrong... it bloody hurt like hell sometimes and gave some mean bruces!! awsome!! After the purchase of the swords we went to worlds steepest street... and man was that steep!! I tried to run it up... but as you probabl guessed... I failed miserably... Then back to the accommodation. One guy in my room also managed to smash a hole in the wall at this place... he covered it up though.. We had a nice dinner and decided what kind of activities we were going to doing queenstown and later on. In my case the bungee jump and the skydive. In the evening a small group of students headed in to town for ATM's. since we lost the others I ended up walking around with two girls... one of them lived in the town and stated she knew where the closest ATM was... she didn't... we walked around for ages... but since it was nice company I didn't mind :D

day 3 we headed for the doubtful sound. which acctually is a fjord. on the way we had a lunch break and everyone from my previous room were called out of the bus... yeah.. the hole in the wall... we all stood back and let the guilty take the blame... since he also broke our rugby ball the same day .., we started blameing him for everything that broke... haha..
back to the sound... nice landscape and nature on the way... a ferry ride, and then the boat! a nice boat, with heaps of kayaks on the back, which we of course used! we had a nice dinenr on the boat, yummy! and we also got to see dolphines jumping in front of the boat, as well as seals on islands, and a couple of penguins... even a flying penguin...

back from the sounds, where we had some pirate themed sword fights! we got in the bus and headed for our activities center of the trip, yeah, QUEENSTOWN!!! man what a great town!!!
On our way though we stopped at the worlds first bungee site, and could jump if we liked. I didn't have enough money though... since I was going to do the tallest bungee later, and a skydive... expensive shit! (excuse the language! but it was a total off 940 DOLLARS!! *4 and u have norwegian... yeah... expensive!) anyway! cool to see, and we headed to queenstown and the our two day accomodation. First evening was free, and a bunch of us walked to the minigolf, which is the by far best I have ever seen!! indoors, with amazing obstacles!! then we went to an italian resturant for dinner, which was good stuff!! another night with smelly shoes...
Next day I had to get up at 6 for my skydive! I have to say one of the coolest things I have ever done!! can't say coolest because the bungee was sick as well!!! anyway... after the skydive back into town to a candy shop :D where they sold dutch candy!!! only other place in the world I have found Salmiak rondondls!!! :D:D:D I was sooooo stooked!! couple macDonalds vistits in this town as well! :P
later that day we went to the bungee... I have NEVER been so terrified in my whole life. Undescribely terrified...probably one of the biggest pussy's ever to do that jump.. and it's now clear to me... I don't like heights to much. It took me 4 minutes to get to the edge and jump, whilst others did it in less than half a minuit... I did it though... and got great value for my DVD :P
For dinner that night we had a traditional Maori Hangi, which is food staked on hot rocks under ground, covered by a blanket and more rocks. It stays under there for the whole day. We ate this with the other EF tour group, which included Carol, my hostmom, since she was the leader for the other group.

Then we travelled on to Wanaka, which is smaller town, but some great amusement! we went to puzzeling world, which had a great maze! it also had several illusion rooms with some great effects! I bought a rubiks 4*4*4 cube there... yeah... I have actually bothered learning the 3*3*3 in some boring school lessons... and the 2*2*2... so I thought why not? can't solved it completly without youtube yet though. we also went to shotover jet. which is a pretty fast boat, only needing 10 cm's of water to drive, does 360's and drives damn close to cliffs!
For dinner we went to cinema paradiso. a cinema with couches, dinner, popcorn, break with cookies etc. sounds great... but weonly got 4 slices of pizzaeach -.- too few seats... a bag of popcorn for each third person... so limited amusement... but decent overall :P we also went a short trip back in town later that evening, but generally just chilled back at the base..

next day was Franz Josef. One of two big glaciers. on our way to the glacier one of the leaders told Nico and me about the fact that there was heaps of gold in this river, and mouuntains etc... Nico and I then spent 3 hours looking for gold along the river while the others walked to the glacier... we didn't find any...time well spent though... because we had heaps more fun I guess :P
Evening was hot pools... which I didn't bother going to... xD

Next day we went to Motueka, and the greenstone factory :P I bought someone who recently had a birthday a gift in this area :P in the maill soon! tha factory makes meaningful necklaces according to maori traditions. we also visited the punakaiki pancake rocks! heaps of picturres on facebook! pretty cool rocks, and it was kinda cool since the sea was pretty rough that day! We stayed two days here... and the first night us boys had a terrible surprise... the girls were going to dress us up drag... I have no idea why the girls find this so funny... but damn it felt wrong... I'll do my best to remove every single tag on facebook!!! Next day we went to the abel tasman national park. First we hiked 5.5 km into a nice private beach! see pics on facebook... blog uploader is way to slow for me to be bothered with it... then we took a mean cold swim, before we kayaked back in twin kayaks... which was hard in my case... my partner wasn't to good... couldn't paddle actually... only break...
Back at the "camp" we could enjoy EF2 having their drag night... alot more fun since we wern't endangered... ! we also had a BBQ, and the boys had to cook... -.-

So next day we travelled to our last accommodation, and some friends and I definetly got the best room! the others had like only bunk beds and a drawer... we had a kitchen, plenty beds, tv and our own bathroom ! great! In the evening we had our final dinner, Pizz, but only 3 pieces each -.- we exchanged buddy gifts... we had a buddy each from the start of the tour, which we had to check for each day on the bus. My buddy was a dutch guy who likes salmiak... so he got my last bag.. :P the leaders also had some awards, and I got one for bravery... since the leader had never had someone standing that long waiting, but still jumped... :D :( Then we stayed up long that night, and next day it was back to Christchurch!

Here we had to say bye to everybody, back on our planes... and home!!

that's about it... srry about any spelling mistakes... but it's late... and I'm writting kind fast...!

feel free to leave a comment, and I'll try my best to update before another month is passed!!
bye

Lazy days and snowtrip

Yeah!

Snowtrip was last weekend! crammed together in a 7 person van, we were 7 persons... but my long legs didn't appreciate the tinytiny legsspace that brought... finally there we slept all the boys (some from Auckland) in a 10 person room.., occupying 8 of the beds. " random people also happened to be in our room... poor people, we must have given them a hard time... and there were 10 girls sharing a room on the other side of the wall.., unaware of the fact that we could hear basically everything they said...

First day we went up the mountain early, up at 6:30 on a weekend :O :O. And guess what... I rented a snowboard... damn hard since I haven't skied for like 2 years... and then put on a snowboard... but it didn't go to bad actually :D after almost 3 hours by myself (in happy valley :D) I went to the bigger slopes to find the others... confident as!! after an hour searching we grouped and stayed outside the canteen for 3 hours... there were so many people, it took them 1,5 hours to take all the lifts to the top... next day we went paintballing, AWSOME!!! and Quad bikeing!!!! aaaaa great weekend!!!
Made heaps of new friends, and met some weird people I can survive without meeting again... :P

so the lazy days :P 4 days of blue sky with a burning sun!!! man that's great!!! and they all say this is still pretty cold... ( I almost got sunburned...!!)
Almost no homework.. (this school is more a sports school... :D:D=) had a history trip with school, lost my phone, got my phone back the next day...
had a trip to a maori village, new and cool experience ! :P had some thermal cooked sweetcorn!

And finaly I have realised I don't like my lasts year english teacher anymore... he gave me a 4 for my final grade... and I get to know all the time I speak better english than heaps of Kiwis.... that bastard!!!!

so that's a little update... and I like comments!!! :D

tirsdag 25. august 2009

Hi all !

Keep postponing the blog...

But now I'm here!
so the last two weeks have been pretty normal! starting to get some Kiwi friends :P heaps of nice fellas here :P
I have switched my photography to outdoor sports :P Photography got too hard, since I needed to take heaps of photos with a camera that was impossible to use properly. And developing the film took ages, for then to develope individual photos and stuff... but outdoors is really cool!!!

Chemistry is kinda funny... since the teacher declared out loud in class how I didn't have to work since I was unable to understand English... everybody cracked up laughing and told how good I actually spoke English :P

Physics is hard, since the teacher has got high expectations, but I'll manage!!!

Maths is easy, and today the teacher bragged to the class about how I solved all problems quicker than the others, even though they actually understand all the questions.

History is nice... might be a little hard with tests, since I don't pay too much atention... but it will be ok :P

Lambs are growing, currently feeding neigbours too, since they are away :P

and dad... might not be happy about this... but I am! :P I bought a 55-200mm lens :P it was pretty cheap,, and I thought I'd rather do it now than at the end of the year :P I convinced myself it was mam's birthday gift :P since it was under the amount I got from you mam :P (which I didn't need for the South Island tour since it was a gift from pap's) If you got it...

So thanks mam! and I look at it as a good investment ! :D

Our room has got a little more character after Phil and I made ourselfs a minibar :P It's baseically a table with 24 glass bottles of 6 different fizzy drinks, and underneath there are 12-14 large cans of different energy drinks, and huge amounts of coke and sprite cans, since they sell them cheap in 30 packs :D and some 1.5 litre bottles of different sorts :P only thing missing is a bowl with peanuts, and some cool glasses :P

And I have had my first taste of alcohol. No need for flying down dad! I'm choosing to tell you! I got half a wine glass for dinner... learned how to taste it properly... got it up my nose... and didn't like it at all... so I had like a quarter of a wineglass :P

I made pancakes for dinner the other day, apperantly they call it crepes here... but they were kinda okey, but hard to make in a weird pan XD today Phil's cookng pasta carbonara, and it looks awsome!

I have been driving more, last time today :P going better and better ! :P
The empty oil barrel in the garden, which purpose is to burn trash in, happens to be awsome to blow up: almost empty deo, airfreshner cans etc :P!!

Rugby looks incredible hard.. but I'll try sometime!!

So thanks mom and dad for the birthday gifts!!! I'm having an awsome time! and I really enjoyed talking to you, Lars, on skype.. though you looked pretty sick!

talk to you later!!!

torsdag 13. august 2009

Woohoo!

Drivng the quad bike was awsome, but even cooler... I've got my driving licence!!! just a learners, but Alan has already taken me for a drive!!! awsome!!! Afterwards Haley got a little pissed since I was such a good driver :P
Chuck is starting to get big! and the chickens are laying eggs!! Maybe we get another lamb soon... neighbour doesn't want to feed I think... but we'll see.... in which case, that's gonna be Norris!!! :D

boring part : school... photography is hard... maaan... but I'll do it!!! Maths is okey... pretty easy since we spend like a week or two for each subject... then a small test.. :P History is cool, best teacher!! Physics and Chemistry....hmmm.-.- let's just say I'll fight for a C average...

This week hasn't been to eventful, yet... maybe do some cool stuff with different people throughout the weekend... we'll see :P

and it was my birthday last Saturday!!! yeah!!
I got breakfast on bed... which most of you probably have seen on facebook... ooo what a tired face -.- and I got a really nice Maori necklace !! it's a thing you can't buy yourself, and nobody else can wear it!! and I got a couple cool T-shirts from Phil :P and a cool little bear from Haley :P
A nice flower basket with different snacks came from the family in Myrveien, and a card with some GREAT chocolate from Peer Gyntsvei :P And Edwards drawing is on the wall!!

so... that's just a little update!!!
talk to you guys!!

Untitled (artistic ehh?)

Soo, just to keep you Europeans updated...

Haven't done too much mentionable the last days...
Had Melinda, a german exchange student, over for a visit. She stayed here almost a day and we did some rifle shooting.. she hit two cans... Phil hit none, and I hit none... we are gonna hear that for ages...

Chuck is growing good, and drinking heaps of milk :P

School is going good... a little behind on photography since I'm never getting time to shoot some film according to my plans... Maths is going great.. think I might be some ahead there actually...
History isn't too hard, English is ok, Physichs a pain in the ass, and chemistry... I'm lost...

(and my birthday is tomorrow) !!! btw ma! I got your card a week ago :D it was really nice, and you can tell Edward I put his drawing up on the wall!! chocolate arrived in one piece :P or two... not squished :P

that's about it for now :P some photos follow bellow :P

Last couple of days, Napier

OK... Blogg again :P Bunch of photos at the end :P

Like usual I will forget like everything when I start writing... but I will do as best as I can :D
First mention Chuck Norris :D
One of the sheep got twins, but the day after, when finding one of them dead on the driveway, we realized the mother was unable to feed them :( so we took the other one in :) and named it Chuck Norris :):) and feed it with a bottle :P And the last days it has been really cool since he follows us everywhere!!! He even jumped through the electrical fence to get back to me again :P

And this weekend Phil and I stayed over at Jackies house. My somekindof-coordinator :P She has one heck of a personality, and a mean driving!!! geez... We caught up with like 40 cars or something on our way to Napier, which I will get back too :P and she crashed HARD into a kerb when Phil, Roberta and Crystal were sleeping :P Really funny,, but kinda freaky :S

soo... Napier... We left on Sunday morning, 9 o'clock :O, and had a three our drive ahead of us... I spent most of the time with my camera in my lap, taking random photos outside :P When we got to Napier Jackie couldn't find the way, so we ended up in a market. she spent almost an hour shopping. vegetables.... Then we needed to find the place for the EF welcom orientation :P and she asked if I could navigate... I said I could give it a try, and we got there after like 10 min or so :D
The welcom thingy was for another region, so we will have to attend one in Rotorua as well -.- but we joined the fun part, which was indoor climbing :P (and during the waiting prosses we found the FERRARI!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D:D:D:D:D:D:D) climbing was cool, and I think I managed quiet well :D after climbing we had some food, and went back to the car to drive back home(That's when we saw the JAG!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D)
Way home was short told: aggressive driving, and a lot of boredom, resulting in some cool light photos :P
oo...! and when we stopped by a MacDonalds this random guy started to talk to us when we were waiting for our food... and he started blurting out about how God loves us all, and we didn't need to take drugs, since God's love was more than enough.... Phil got the giggles... and he got angry since Phil was laughing at him... hahah great...

and back to Saturday :P this blogg is gonna be a mess when it comes to dates...
Phil and I went in to town to get some stuff for school, and hang out with some other exchange students :P It was pouring down... so we fought our way to another cheap Mac meal :P
Then we followed Raphael, and to new guys, to this café thingy... but it was really weird,, and we left pretty soon :P

Tha't almost it I guess... have to mention I missed out on the ball kinda... I didn't have a suit, and wouldn't bother... But alot of people were asking if we couldn't come to the after ball... but we got to go to Napier instead...YEEEJ(Ironic)

soo... the photos, in the wrong order... but yeah yeah.. :P
and I enjoy comments :D

Boored
Bored

Looks kinda like fire :P
Playing with the camera when all the others were asleep ...

Hot pools, rifle, Phillip G and more

Yeah!
couple of days since last time... hard to find time for tha blogg!
anyways... a german Philipp stayed over the whole weekend, great fun!
we went to the Luge with rafael and lenny, twice.
And we went to the hot pools, pools warmed by natural therminology or something.
They were really nice! a bit smelly though... but great fun!!

And Swiss Phil and I bought a rugby ball together... cheap one, 15$, but we use it about every day :D
Sunday went to washing the police car for pies... can't believe we did it for pies, but they were awsome and totally worth it!! fast cleaning too when you are two about it :D
after the piess we went to eat them in the park, a park nearby, which happened to be a thermal thingy too, so smelly smoke came up from the ground everywhere...
afterwards we did some car sightsing, and Alan told us about these yellow rocks that would burn... all I could think was yellow thing + burn = awsome... so we went to the place he had got those rocks when he was a younger pyroman, and we found some nice rocks!! :D
After we put a match to them we realized a couple of things...
1. The smokes smells awfull... like REALLY awfull... impossible to breath in, and burns your nose like really bad...
2. There was a lot of smoke
Great fun though!! think the stones were called sulphat or something....

Then a bit non date related stuff. Shooting with a rifle is REALLY cool!!
There came two new lambs today, total of 5 now... and I keep hopeing she will get another one since that would then be fed by us :D how cute eeh?
And McDonalds here is awsome cheap and really nice!!! like you can fill your soda again and again and again... and the most expensive menu is a MEGA MAC... you heard me!! it's HUGE!! like 4 meat thingy's and lots of awsomeness :D :D and it costs just under 11 $, which is like 44 kr... a regular dubbel cheesburger menu costs half of that, with big soda, and big fries :D :D

I also found out today, with German Phil, that you aren't allowed to leave school ground without written permittion... Luckily for us they didn't tell us before AFTER we had been to McDonalds, but they probably told us BECAUSE we went...

So that's about it for now... probably forgetting a lot...
yeah! like almost everybody asks wether I'm going to the ball or not, but I'm like Nææh.. don't wanna rent a suit (expensive) and they want us(exchange students) to come to the after ball, known for lots of alcohol... so I'm kinda nææh there too... AND we are going to stay with a woman called Jaquie that weekend, and see is kinda anti-afterball I've heard...

oo, one more thing.. Phil and I joined Carol and Alan to some bowls thingy... Funny game, like boutcha or something just no throwing... so you have to roll a ball as close as possible to a little white ball... and it's pretty hard since the balls aren't all round but have some weight thingy which makes it possible to roll them with a curve... and I kicked Phil's ass... nææh not really... but I won :D The real tournament thingy with all the old people was harder though... but fun!! :D

sooo, that's it for now :P

Flight, family, Rotorua, school, Lemon tree... yeah... alot :D

Yup!
First I'll say it was really nice saying goodbye to Tarikk and Am in oslo, and thanks for the gifts! travelpack was really practical on the travell.so first, the flight. Left Gardermoen at around 1700, after a nice goodbye with the whole family :D A pretty boring flight to London... and 4 hours of waiting there... The next flight though was even worse... Like 12 hours or so to Bangkok, with some funny moments in between...

after landing in Bangkok, and spending like an hour there, I had lost all track of time... Next flight was from Bangkok to Sydney... same plane ( which was awsome! since we had our own screen with games, and lots of movies to choose from, we got a blanket, a pillow, headphones, toothbrush and toothpaste, and best of all... socks... it truly made my day to find them :D) another 4 hours waiting in Sydney
... played some Monopoly, and had to join some girls on makeup shopping... oouch... Then a final flight to Auckland.
When I arrived I had slept like 2 hours out of a almost 35 hour travel... and even when I got in the car I stayed awake... probably from all the coffee I downed ... hahah :P
I was met on the airport by Phil, Alan and Carol and we went to get some Icecream before we went for dinner on our way to Rotorua :D
We arrived at the house around 20:00, by when it was far to dark to see anything :P I stayed up and met with Rafael and Lenny, who leave close by and also are exchange students :D and the next day we went to see Harry Potter, and yes... I fell asleep a couple of times during the movie :P We didn't make the bus, so we got picked up, and arrived after dark again :P This morning I also made a really cool discovery.... WE HAVE A LEAMON TREE IN THE GARDEN!!! I got sooooo happy :D

Next morning we went to school... ALOT of nerves!!! we were met by some exchange leader dude... and a couple of students became our "buddy's" to show us around school and stuff. and believe me!!! it was really cool, since like everyone wanted to say hello and wanted to know who I was and stuff :P I choose art Photography as a subject and had a class to se who it was... COOL!! And I have to mention... Alan makes awsome lunches!!!
After school we went to buy uniforms.. oomyyy... And I bought a cellphone :D (0064)0277795717 :D

second day at school... with uniform...(really akward... and gay looking) I had some fun moments today though :P I managed to get slapped by a teacher... haha :P you see... Enrique told us about the awsome pies they sell for lunch... so I and Phil decided to give them a go... but we had to follow our buddy's to their classes, and ended up in a Spanish class. so like 20 min before the class ended we figured to ask if we could leave 5 min earlier to get first in line for our first pies :P so we asked Jordan, cool guy (buddy first day) since the teacher is his mother... and we asked if he could write in spanish so she might get impressed and say yes... pretty dumb... nobody writes what you want in a situation like that... Apparently I asked the teacher if we could leave class since we were hungry and the class was boring and she was ugly... haha :P
we got pies for lunch though, but we had to stand in line for a long time... -.-

soo... that's about it for now... no wait... we got two new lambs today!! they were soooo cute!

yeah... talk to you guys... sorry if I haven't answered any sms's, but I won't have gotten those sent between saturday and now... old cell not working :D

and the uploader fucked up... so there will be some more on facebook ;)

5 dager til avreise!!!

Oyeah! only 5 days to go! 7 till I get there -.-
spoken to Alan again today, hostdad, and he told me he and Carol would come and pick me and Phil up in Auckland! so I won't have to take a bus from the airport to Rotorua! :P
I'll be flying through London (Heathrow!! HEEEELL YEEAH!)
, then Sydney with a gas stop in between, then Auckland ! first a 2 hour flight or so, then 4 hours waiting, 17 hours flight, 4 hours waiting, then some more flying... a total of 32 hours or so!

Haven't written anything about the family yet, or anything around... so:
Alan -dad
Carol -mum
Keri -sister(at university...)
Haley -sister
Alex -brother

and they have 10 sheep (:O) 8 hens (fresh eggs for breakfast?) a dog, and probably two calves... which have to be fed by hand :D and luckily I won't be there when they end up in the freezer (I hope!!)

I will stay in Rotorua, which is NZ's tourist city number one... and aso probably the place where I'm going to bungee jump! jupp! you heard me! I'm gonna do it!! (convincing myself...)¨
My school will be: Western Heights High School, and if I build up enough courage I might post a picture of me in uniform.... if... probably not...

so that's it for now... leaving a year... woooo... long time!
